The Russian Federation and Belarus hold 57% of the total CIS market, with similar preferred destinations. Both countries preferred Germany and Israel for treatment in 2016. 06-Mar-17 In 2014 Russia was the most important source of medical travelers to Germany with about 9,800 inpatients. In 2015, however, the German medical tourism industry recorded a decline of 32 percent for Russian patients.
